Click on your settings icon on your iPhone.
Select “Mail, Contacts, Calendars”
Select “Add Account”
Select “Add Mail Account”
Fill your email settings
Select POP or IMAP depending on what mail servers you have. Fill in your email settings that you got from your email provider. Your outgoing or SMTP settings must match your cellular service providers SMTP settings, unless you have authenticated SMTP from your email provider
Cellular provider SMTP Settings
- Vodacom – smtp.vodacom.co.za or smtp.vodamail.co.za
- MTN – mail.mtn.co.za
- Cell C – smtp.cellc.co.za or mail.cmobile.co.za
Once you have filled in your details select “next” this will verify the settings and add the account.
If you have authenticated SMTP from your email provider you’ll need to do step 8.
You can add a “secondary SMTP server” so that your phone chooses the secondary SMTP server to send out on, these details you can get from your email service provide.
Go to Settings Mail, Contacts, Calendars and select E-Mail account eg. IT-Works SMTP
Selects “Add server”
Fill in the details given to you by your Email Service Provider or IT Support.
Once you have finished filling in the fields then select “Save”. After selecting “Save” you will be brought back to the list of SMTP servers and you’ll see that the secondary server has been added.
